    On the subject of singing alligators, the alligators in Florida have some stiff mating competition from the shuttle. Apparently, when the shuttle launches, the frequency it hits is the same as the gators mating call, and male gators in the vicinity will start to compete with it. However, I can't remember where I learned about it, so I could be full of crap.
